A hand-woven rug is spun in a loom using a yarn in several steps. Fibre for fibre is overlaid on top of each other. Hand woven rugs are flat woven and therefore have no knots. The rug offers an equivalent front and back.

Beautiful jute rugs show colour
The well-known G35 jute yarn is used in the production of a jute rug. The yarns are selected based on the colour composition and therefore black yarns are mainly used for black jute carpets. A rug gets its colour through a jute string, which is machine fitted and then dyed. This results in beautiful rugs in gorgeous colours that offer endless combinations with coloured furniture and natural materials.
A non-slip undermat is the perfect solution for the loose rugs in your home as it also extends the life of your carpet.
And of course, it reduces the risk of slipping. In addition, the underrug can be easily cut to size. Especially with underfloor heating, a carpet underlay is a useful addition, because it also ensures that your carpet leaves no marks on the floor.

TAME THE SHAG
A great tip for cleaning a shag rug is to turn it upside down and vacuum the back with the beater bar setting. This will shake loose all the dirt and dust. Once done, move the rug and vacuum up all the dirt that came loose onto the floor.
VACUUM REGULARLY
Use a quality vacuum without the beater bar setting as it can pull or snag. Vacuum high traffic areas more often. Rug shedding is common with some newer rugs but this will lessen over time with regular vacuuming.
USE A RUG PAD
A non-slip rug pad’s primary benefits are safety and cushioning. However, it also prolongs the life of your rug and makes it easier to vacuum.
SPOT CLEAN AS NEEDED
Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean, dry white cloth. For hard to remove stains we recommend that the rug be professionally cleaned.
